History

Sekyedumase Rural Bank Plc was proudly incorporated on 14th February 1980, marking the beginning of a remarkable journey dedicated to serving our vibrant community. Just a few weeks later, on 5th March 1980, we officially commenced our operations, laying the foundation for a bank that would become a cornerstone of local financial support.

On 12th September 1980, we were honored to receive our license from the Bank of Ghana under the Banking Act 1970 (Act 339), empowering us to operate as a rural bank. Our origins trace back to a predominantly farming community, where an impressive 97% of residents earned less than GHS100 annually. The remaining 3% were primarily devoted workers from the Ghana Education Service and the Ghana Health Service, contributing to the local economy.

Over the years, Sekyedumase Rural Bank Plc has continuously evolved to meet the changing needs of our community. We have introduced a diverse array of innovative financial products and services, specifically designed to empower local farmers and small businesses.
